Event 7 – Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens Brooklyn New York
For our May crawl, we’re heading to the charming, tree-lined streets of Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn — neighborhoods filled with rich history, strong community vibes, and some seriously delicious pizza. While there are too many great spots to hit in one day, we’ve narrowed it down to three must-try stops that showcase the best this area has to offer:
🍕 ALVO Pizza
We’re kicking things off with the new kid on the block — ALVO Pizza. This fresh spot is the debut shop from Rosario Viggiano, who’s spent years honing his craft at top kitchens around the country, including local favorites Best Pizza and Norm’s. ALVO just opened last week, and we’re lucky to be among the first to check it out. Let’s give Rosario a warm pizza crawl welcome!
🍕 Panzerotti Bites
Missing Italy? One bite of a panzerotti and you’ll be transported straight to the streets of Italy. These deep-fried pockets of pizza dough are stuffed with gooey mozzarella, tomato, and all kinds of tasty fillings. Owners Vittoria Lattanzio and Pasquale De Ruvo are bringing the flavors of Southern Italy to Brooklyn, and we’re here for it. 🇮🇹
🍕 F&F Pizzeria
We’re wrapping things up at the legendary F&F, one of the most beloved slice shops in NYC — if not the entire country. Since opening in 2019, co-owners Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo (with help from bread icons Chad Robertson and Chris Bianco) have raised the bar for what a New York slice can be. The hype is real, and the pizza? Even better.
